DNA Problem Forces Delay In Knox County Man's Murder Trial

Columbus Division of Police

The trial for a Knox County man charged with a three-decades old murder is on hold after  prosecutors admitted DNA analysis had not been conducted on all of the evidence.

Douglas Krumlauf is charged with the 1985 murder of Sharla Spangler.  Krumlauf was arrested after he was fingerprinted on an unrelated domestic violence charge and the prints came back as a match with evidence in Spangler's murder.  Prosecutors say delaying the trial will allow for the testing of all evidence.
