Former Cleveland city council member Joe Cimperman has been sentenced to one year probation for voting on contracts involving a company with which he had close ties.

Prosecutors say Cimperman voted to approve contracts with a company where he had been a board member and where his wife worked. He must also  pay a 10 thousand dollar fine and perform 100 hours of community service. The Democrat resigned in 2016.
