Judge Puts Trial Of Pilot Flying J Executives On Hold

A federal judge is putting a hold on the fraud trial of former executives and sales representatives of Pilot Flying J, the truck stop chain owned Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and Republican Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam. The trial is being delayed until January 8. Jimmy Haslam has not been charged and has said he had no prior knowledge of the scheme to defraud trucking company customers out of promised fuel rebates. Fourteen members of the Pilot sales department have pleaded guilty, and the company has paid an 85 million dollar settlement to some customers, as well as a 92 million dollar federal penalty.
