Manpower Survey Indicates Moderate Hiring By Ohio Companies During Fourth Quarter

A new survey by Manpower Incorporatedshows Ohio companies expect hiring to be moderate in the fourth quarter of this year. 73 percent of companies surveyed say they plan no additional hires, 18 percent plan to hire workers, while 8 percent say they plan job cuts.  The last survey showed nearly 33 percent of companies  planed to hire workers in the third quarter.  Manpower says the pace of hiring workers typically slows during the fourth quarter.  Sectors expected to see more hiring include construction, professional and business services, private education and health care, leisure and hospitality, and government.
