More Details On DeWine's Water Quality Plan

Ohio Public Radio

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine proposes spending nearly one billion dollars to combat toxic algae in Lake Erie and protect the state's other waterways.

DeWine wants to set aside 900 million in this year's state budget for water quality projects over the next 10 years. He says some of the money will go toward helping farmers reduce fertilizer runoff and creating more wetlands to filter pollutants.
