wytv.com

The owner of two closed drug treatment centers in Ohio has been sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison for his role in a Medicaid fraud scheme.

39-year-old Ryan Sheridan pleaded guilty in October. Prosecutors say say Sheridan's Braking Point Recovery Services treatment centers outside Youngstown and Columbus submitted nearly 135 thousand bogus claims from May 2015 to October 2017. Medicaid reimbursed Braking Point 31 million dollars.
