Ohio's unemployment rate was 4.2 percent in December, unchanged from November.
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says today non-farm payrolls increased by 98 hundred from November to 5.6 million. The number of jobless workers last month was 243 thousand, down by 4 thousand from November. Ohio gained jobs in sectors including construction and manufacturing, educational and health services.
