Licking County Sheriff's deputies arrested a youth football coach last night after an altercation with a referee.
Deputies say the game between Licking Valley and Watkins Memorial teams not affiliated with the schools ended with a “scuffle” between players, and then 37-year-old Watkins coach Christopher Deason got into an altercation with the referee who tried to break up the scuffle. Deputies say more arrests and charges are possible.
